World Class Entrepreneurship Education
The Startup Science platform is designed to complement and augment academic entrepreneurship programs by providing a structured learning experience. The education modules in its ‘Academy’ provide concentrated and practical understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, based on real world experience and years of proven research, that can enhance curriculum and classroom programs. It can be used effectively in parallel with academic programs, and aspiring entrepreneurs can continue to use it to advance their projects after their course ends. It can also be used as a stand alone experience to help bring ideas to life and get them into the market.
Instructor and Mentor Support
The Startup Science platform allows instructors and mentors to assign education modules and specific tasks, and to track progress. This reduces the burden of repeatedly teaching fundamental concepts and allows them to focus their precious time on working with entrepreneurs to effectively apply that fundamental learning to the specifics of their situation. It also allows instructors and mentors to upload their own content and assign it to participants, building a robust library for the institution over time.
A World of Connections and Collaboration
No institution is as good as all institutions together. The Startup Science platform allows academic programs, if they choose, to expose their participants to our global network of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, accelerators, investors and corporate partners. It also gives them the opportunity to prepare for, and apply to, the Fulbright Entrepreneurship Initiative (https://www.fulbright.ca/programs/entrepreneurship-initiative).
Tools & Resources
The Startup Science platform includes robust tools that help aspiring entrepreneurs understand their market, develop their product and build their company. Our resources section provides them an advantage by connecting them with vetted and discounted supporters who can help with their legal, administrative, managerial and other needs. We also provide our proprietary AI to help them identify opportunities like pitch events, investors, and follow-on accelerator programs that are the perfect fit for their sector and stage of development.
Long Term Tracking & Program Assessment
Most programs lose track of their participants shortly after they exit the cohort. Startup Science is designed to stay with the entrepreneur through their entire journey and allows organizations to follow their participants for as long as they stay active on the platform. Being able to track your graduates’ long-term success in raising capital, generating revenue and creating jobs provides objective data that can help you adjust your program and demonstrate the value you add to those that resource you.
Application Management and Future Candidate Nurturing
Many of our accelerator partners use the Startup Science portfolio as the foundation of their application process. By having candidates fill out their profile as an application, they receive essential pre-education to help them succeed in the program and also provide more, and more structured, data than normal applications can. Most accelerators accept 5% or less of applicants into their programs. By offering those not accepted continued access to Startup Science through an accelerator’s platform, the accelerator can remain in contact with them and also provide substantial help in preparing them for future application cycles
