The Startup Science platform is designed to complement and augment academic entrepreneurship programs by providing a structured learning experience. The education modules in its ‘Academy’ provide concentrated and practical understanding of the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, based on real world experience and years of proven research, that can enhance curriculum and classroom programs. It can be used effectively in parallel with academic programs, and aspiring entrepreneurs can continue to use it to advance their projects after their course ends. It can also be used as a stand alone experience to help bring ideas to life and get them into the market.
The Startup Science platform allows instructors and mentors to assign education modules and specific tasks, and to track progress. This reduces the burden of repeatedly teaching fundamental concepts and allows them to focus their precious time on working with entrepreneurs to effectively apply that fundamental learning to the specifics of their situation. It also allows instructors and mentors to upload their own content and assign it to participants, building a robust library for the institution over time.
No institution is as good as all institutions together. The Startup Science platform allows academic programs, if they choose, to expose their participants to our global network of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, accelerators, investors and corporate partners. It also gives them the opportunity to prepare for, and apply to, the Fulbright Entrepreneurship Initiative (https://www.fulbright.ca/programs/entrepreneurship-initiative).
